Lift Technician Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and commissioning:
a. Install and assemble lift components as per technical specifications and company guidelines.
b. Commission newly installed lifts and ensure they meet operational standards.

2. Maintenance and servicing:
a. Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks on lifts and escalators.
b. Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical issues to maintain equipment functionality.
c. Lubricate moving parts and ensure all safety mechanisms are in optimal working condition.

3. Repair and troubleshooting:
a. Diagnose malfunctioning lift components and systems using test equipment and technical documentation.
b. Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, bearings, electrical wiring, and switches.
c. Respond to emergency calls and resolve breakdowns swiftly to minimize downtime.

4. Inspections and testing:
a. Perform safety inspections and routine operational tests to verify the lift's performance.
b. Ensure lifts comply with safety standards and local regulations.
c. Document inspection results and maintain comprehensive records.

5. Customer interaction:
a. Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of repairs, upgrades, and service recommendations.
b. Provide technical support and training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.

6. Compliance and documentation:
a. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
b. Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections carried out, and parts replaced.

7. Team collaboration:
a. Coordinate with other team members, including helpers and junior technicians, for large-scale projects.
b. Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians as required.
