1. Conducting extensive primary and secondary research
2. Scoping out opportunities based on market and category trends
3. Analysing consumer preferences to determine the potential sales of a product
4. Research consumer trends, assortment, and pricing across categories
5. Performing competitor analysis on similar products across target markets
6. Simplifying complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids
7. Presenting and reporting directly to the head of the department
