Job Title: Program Associate - Compassionate Prison Program
Location: Pune & Nagpur
Reports to: Associate Director / Creche Coordinator

Overview: The 'Program Associate' will coordinate, monitor, and report on the Nanhe Kadam Prison Cr che initiative and other psychosocial support activities for incarcerated mothers as part of the Compassionate Prison Project. The role focuses on supporting the emotional, mental, and physical development of children, ensuring the cr che environment is inclusive, compassionate, and non-stigmatic. This position strengthens family ties, develops individualized safe plans, and facilitates Parent Pod sessions for both incarcerated mothers living with their children and those separated from them.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data collection & monitoring:
o Track cr che metrics (attendance, hours, program engagement) and collect
data for the balanced scorecard.
o Ensure consistency across cr ches and support staff in implementation.

2. Monthly reporting:
o Prepare the monthly balanced scorecard, highlighting key performance metrics.
o Present findings and recommendations to senior management and prison officials.

3. Program coordination:
o Ensure implementation of structured lesson plans and somatic healing activities.
o Coordinate partner, volunteer, and expert visits to enhance program quality.

4. Family support & parent pod sessions:
o Conduct Parent Pod sessions to facilitate bonding between mothers and their children.
o Develop and oversee individual safe plans for children of incarcerated mothers and prison guards.

5. Stakeholder engagement:
o Liaise with prison authorities, volunteers, and guardians to support smooth cr che operations and family involvement.

6. Workshops & capacity building:
o Assist in organizing monthly workshops for prison staff on child rights, trauma-informed care, and cr che support.

7. Documentation & compliance:
o Maintain detailed records of all cr che activities, ensure compliance, and flag issues as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in social work, early childhood education, development studies, or related fields.

Experience: 2-3 years in program coordination, monitoring, or working with children and families in challenging environments.

Skills: Data collection, reporting, organizational skills, communication, knowledge of child rights and psycho-social support, proficiency in MS Office.
