Key responsibilities:

1. Integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
2. Building efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
3. Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges
4. Integrating data storage solutions
5. Having a strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel and database management
6. Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
7. Understanding MVC design patterns
8. Having a basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
9. Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
10. Understanding accessibility and security compliance
11. Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
12. Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
13. Handling user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
14. Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
15. Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
16. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
17. Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
18. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
