About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize, design, and develop automation solutions for automotive parts and systems integrating automation technology to enhance performance, safety, and efficiency
2. Work on calculation for motor, gearbox selection, bearing, load calculations, torque calculations
3. Create detailed 2D/3D designs, models, and prototypes using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing feasibility
4. Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
5. Work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee the production process, provide technical support, and ensure design integrity during manufacturing

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or related field

2. Proven experience (2 to 3 years) in design engineering within the automobile or automation industry, showcasing successful project execution

3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, Solidedge) for 2D/3D modeling and design

4. Strong knowledge of automation technologies, sensors, actuators, and control systems applied in the automotive domain

5. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

6. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with designing material handling equipment

2. Experience with designing SPMs, gantry systems

3. Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and applications in automotive design

4. Certifications or additional training in automation technologies or related fields

Annual CTC: ₹ 5,00,000 - 6,00,000 /year
