a. Calculate and deduct tax deducted at source (TDS) on applicable payments as per statutory norms.
b. File TDS returns on time and ensure compliance with all regulations.
c. Maintain proper records of TDS deducted and ensure accurate reporting to tax authorities.
3. Salary processing and payroll management:
a. Prepare salary sheets, ensuring accurate computation of employee salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
b. Manage payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
c. Handle payroll compliance, including provident fund (PF), employee state insurance (ESI), and other statutory contributions.
4. GST Filing and Compliance:
a. Calculate goods and services tax (GST) liability and ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
b. Ensure accurate input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation.
c. Address queries and discrepancies related to GST returns and payments.
5. Reconciliation:
a. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of financial statements, including bank statements, vendor ledgers, and customer accounts.
b. Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
c. Ensure that all financial data aligns with the company's financial goals and regulatory requirements.
6. General accounting and reporting:
a. Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
b. Assist with audits and provide necessary financial documents for review.
c. Stay updated on accounting regulations, tax laws, and other compliance requirements.
d. Work closely with HR for payroll and employee-related tax compliances.
e. Collaborate with finance and operations teams for budgeting and financial forecasting.
