Senior Accountant Job

We are seeking a skilled 'Senior Accountant' to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Tally data entry, GST & TDS reconciliation, and mentoring junior accountants. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data entry & accounting: Manage and accurately enter all financial transactions in Tally software, ensuring the integrity of accounting records.
2. GST & TDS reconciliation: Oversee and reconcile GST and TDS entries, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and deadlines.
3. Month-end closing: Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Guidance & mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and assist in training and developing their skills.
5. Financial reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
6. Tax filing: Assist with the preparation and filing of GST and TDS returns in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Audit support: Support auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
8. Compliance & controls: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and maintain internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in commerce or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with Tally software is essential.
Strong understanding of GST and TDS regulations and reconciliation processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to guide, train, and mentor junior team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
