Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our dynamic team at exRNA Therapeutics Limited. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in experimental research with expertise in molecular biology, drug discovery, and translational research. This position requires hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, as well as the ability to design and implement research projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct experimental research in molecular biology, drug discovery, and translational medicine.
2. Utilize techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and RNA/DNA extraction for gene expression analysis.
3. Perform microscopy studies including confocal microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, TEM, and SEM.
4. Conduct drug-based functional assays and apply techniques like CD, NMR, and FTIR.
5. Cultivate mammalian and bacterial cell cultures, and perform biofilm formation and inhibition studies.
6. Implement flow cytometry for cell analysis and nanoparticle-based drug delivery applications.
7. Design and optimize research experiments, troubleshoot challenges, and interpret experimental results.
8. Prepare scientific reports, document experimental protocols, and present data to internal teams and stakeholders.
9. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and quality control measures.
10. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and assist in the preparation of scientific publications and patents.
Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
2. Hands-on experience in experimental research, particularly in translational research or drug discovery.
3. Proven expertise in molecular biology techniques such as recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology, PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and RNA/DNA extraction.
4. Experience with microscopy techniques (Confocal, Fluorescence, TEM, SEM).
5. Experience with drug-based assays (Circular Dichroism, NMR, FTIR).
6. Expertise in mammalian and bacterial cell culture, biofilm formation studies, flow cytometry, and nanoparticle-based applications in drug delivery.
