Key responsibilities:

1. Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum: design and implement a curriculum that aligns with the needs and interests of young children. This may involve creating lesson plans, choosing activities and materials, and organizing the classroom environment
2. Teach basic skills: teach basic skills such as counting, letter recognition, and social skills. The teacher may use a variety of methods, such as games, songs, and stories, to engage the children in learning
3. Observe and assess children's progress: observe and assess each child's progress in learning and development. This includes keeping records and documentation of the children's progress and discussing it with parents or guardians
4. Provide a safe and healthy environment: ensure that the classroom is safe and healthy for the children. This includes maintaining cleanliness, monitoring the children's health, and implementing safety protocols
5. Collaborate with parents and staff: communicate effectively with parents or guardians about the children's progress and needs. The teacher should also work collaboratively with other staff members, such as teacher aides or other teachers, to provide a cohesive learning environment
6. Attend professional development opportunities: participate in professional development opportunities to keep up-to-date with current research and best practices in early childhood education
