Program Associate - Music Teacher Job (Part time)

Key responsibilities:

1. Program delivery: Conduct a minimum of 2 sessions (1 classroom week teaching more than 1 classroom may involve teaching multiple sessions across the city
2. Complete 48 sessions per class (of 2530 students the course of the program timeline
3. Plan lessons along with the teacher and the program manager and document these teachers will also be expected to file reports after each class
4. Facilitate the songwriting process with the students and compose a song with them for their annual performance piece
5. Keep track of student attendance and progress
6. Training, meetings, and capacity building: Participate at the beginning of the year and midyear training as per the schedule shared by the organization
7. Participate in the monthly learning circles to share best practices with other teachers and prepare for the upcoming classes
8. Work with the program manager to improve session planning and delivery quality
9. Work with the program manager to build teaching capacity as per their feedback
10. Events: Attend and participate (band/concert production in the midyear and annual concerts
11. Support city team in basic operational and program/event requirements (in case required)
12. Support/attend internal school events or external events where your students have an opportunity to participate (in case required)
