Blowhorn is looking for an engineer who will work alongside our experienced team of engineers to develop and maintain our cloud-based applications. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets the project requirements. You will also have the opportunity to work on various aspects of the project lifecycle (brainstorming, design, prototyping, planning, execution, and deploying). We brainstorm to understand and explore the difficult problem and come up with the best solution for the hardest problems that impact the world. You will develop broad-ranging skills working on a wide variety of initiatives. You will take responsibility for your projects, but you'll also have teammates who look out for you.
Key responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the team to design and develop cloud-based applications
2. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets project requirements
3. Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and maintainability
4. Test and debug code to ensure the application is functioning properly
5. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
6. Assist with the deployment and maintenance of the application
7. Research and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the project development process
8. Continuously learn and develop new skills to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Ideal candidate requirements:
1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
2. Strong programming skills in Python or any programming language
3. Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda is a plus
4. Understanding of web development frameworks such as -Django/Flask/Fastify/Express/NestJS
5. Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
6. Worked in one web framework; understands object oriented programming very well
7. Good to have: Understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, infra monitoring
8. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
11. Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends
