About the job

The international business development role involves identifying, contacting & following up with potential companies for participating in our international B2B events including - exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, summits, and conclaves organized by the group. You should be able to establish contact with CXO-level executives from the targeted companies using phone, LinkedIn, Google, email, etc, pitch them for the event & follow up to close the business.

Key responsibilities:

1. Work on having a very clear understanding of the event that you are working on, in terms of market, industry, key players, opportunities, government regulations, competition, etc.
2. Research the target - industry, geography, market & opportunities using Google, LinkedIn, company websites, articles, etc., and gather the information that would be helpful while pitching the event
3. Identify the key companies to be targeted for the event and identify the key people within these companies
4. Establish contact with such target people (using phone, LinkedIn, email, etc), pitch the event & follow up to close the deal
5. Achieve revenue targets as set for the events
6. Help the production team in conceptualizing new events
7. Interact regularly with the clients to ensure a committed and partnership-based relationship
8. Identify product improvements or new products by analyzing current and future industry trends, market activities, and competition

Skills & Requirements:

1. Recent graduates
2. Candidates with not more than 2 years of experience
3. Should have enthusiasm - someone who really wants to sell world-class events
4. Should have resilience - someone who bounces back and does not give up
5. Should have urgency - a competitive character who wants to get on with things and close deals quickly
6. Should have persuasiveness - someone who wants to bring people around to their point of view
7. Should have self-motivation - someone with the initiative, drive, and ambition to find and close deals
8. Should have excellent communication skills
