1. Manage the import/export process, including coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing logistics and transportation
2. Work closely with the sales team to develop and implement import/export strategies that meet business goals
3. Ensure that all necessary import/export documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations
4. Ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations and laws, including trade agreements, tariffs, and licensing requirements
5. Manage transportation logistics, including arranging for freight pickup, delivery, and tracking, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
6. Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain sufficient stock levels
7. Identify and troubleshoot potential import/export issues, such as customs delays, cargo damage, or regulatory violations
8. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other partners to ensure smooth and efficient import/export operations
9. Provide timely and accurate reports on import/export activities
10. Monitor and analyze import/export processes and procedures
Who you are:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
2. At least 2 years of experience in import/export operations, shipping, or related fields
3. Knowledge of international trade regulations and laws, including customs procedures, tariffs, and licensing requirements
4. Experience in coordination with carriers and freight forwarders
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot potential issues quickly and effectively
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other partners
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
8. Knowledge of trade compliance software, such as SAP GTS or Amber Road, is a plus
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
10. High level of accountability and problem-solving skills
