About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
2. Manage staff and assign tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
3. Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
4. Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
5. Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
6. Secure the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
7. Help to create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
8. Attend trade shows and conferences, and make site visits to suppliers facilities.
9. Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
10. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
11. Maintain high-level expertise in their field or sector.
12. Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
13. Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
14. Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.

12. Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools is a plus.
13. Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
14. Experience using system applications and products (SAP) software.
