Design Engineer - R&D Job

Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Engineer - R&D Design to join our Implements Division at Beri Udyog Pvt Ltd (FIELDKING). The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product design, CAD modeling, and development of farm machineries. This role involves designing, prototyping, testing, and improving agricultural machinery to enhance performance, durability, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

1. Design and develop agricultural products.
2. Create 3D models & 2D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
3. Ensure designs comply with ISO & industry standards for farm machinery.
4. Collaborate with the fabrication & manufacturing teams for prototype development.
5. Conduct field testing & performance evaluations of new products.
6. Analyze failures & suggest design modifications for product improvements.
7. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications.
8. Document design changes, test reports, and process improvements.
9. Work on cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality.
10. Research and implement new materials & manufacturing techniques for better efficiency.
11. Coordinate with production, purchase, and quality teams for smooth execution of designs.
12. Provide technical support to manufacturing & sales teams when required.

Key skills & competencies:

1. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
2. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and sheet metal components.
3. Knowledge of fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
4. Hands-on experience with product testing & validation techniques.
5. Good analytical skills with problem-solving ability.
6. Strong communication & teamwork skills.
