We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The candidate will optimize solar energy systems for commercial and industrial applications, possessing strong expertise in electrical design and renewable energy solutions. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design solar electrical systems, including PV panel selection, stringing, inverter selection, and other key electrical components.
2. Perform PVsyst configuration, system sizing, and optimization for maximum energy production.
3. Prepare detailed electrical design documentation, including single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, various PV layouts, and equipment specifications.
4. Ensure designs comply with IS, IEC, IEEE, CBIP, CEA, and local regulations.
5. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal solar system designs based on available space, shading, and orientation.
6. Evaluate the site's electrical infrastructure to assess compatibility with the proposed solar system.
7. Perform energy audits and analyses using software tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD.
8. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet customer specifications.
9. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure correct selection and availability of components.
10. Provide technical support during project planning, installation, and commissioning phases.
11. Conduct electrical safety checks and ensure all designs meet safety standards.
12. Address any technical issues that arise during the installation phase, offering quick and effective solutions.
13. Maintain comprehensive records of designs, calculations, and permits.
14. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
15. Stay updated on the latest solar technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
16. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and sustainability of solar designs.
17. Participate in training and development programs to enhance expertise in solar energy systems.

Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
2. Experience:
- Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on solar energy systems preferred.
- Experience using solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, SketchUp, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations (IS, IEC, IEEE, CEA, local, and international standards).
- Experience in grid-tied and off-grid solar systems, including integration with energy storage solutions.
3. Skills:
- Proficient in electrical system design and layout.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
