We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Specialist to manage our external and internal communications at The Rosary School & Jr. College. You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on behalf of the School.
Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in communications and people management are important qualities too. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you to gain the trust of colleagues and external parties like parents, students, and teachers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Understand parents' requirements with the way they approach, build a healthy rapport, and gain confidence
2. To guide parents with correct information and processes which helps them to make positive decisions
3. Develop effective communication strategies for smooth functioning which is easy to understand for parents
4. Manage external communications like emails, and newsletters when required
5. Organize initiatives and plan events on a time-to-time basis
6. Coordinate with parents and school principals and handle requests for interviews, and feedback
7. Foster relationships with advocates and key persons
8. Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles
9. Perform damage control in cases of bad publicity
Skill & requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in communications strategy development
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
5. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
6. Strategic and creative mindset
7. Meticulous attention to detail
