Key responsibilities:

1. Manage patient registration and guide to lab/doctor consultation as appropriate
2. Take vitals for each consultation patient
3. Collect and tag lab specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition
4. Provide dressing for injured patients
5. Provide daycare for patients as advised by the physician
6. Provide dispense vaccination for both adult and pediatric
7. Keep the nursing station and the clinic clean and hygienic at all times
8. Provide comfort to the patient and maintain the safety of the patient
9. Develop effective collection techniques as they relate to groups such as pediatric and geriatric patients
10. Properly package each specimen and ensure that every specimen is delivered to the laboratory on time
11. Answer patient questions regarding collection techniques and offer additional resources on the collection process if a patient requests them

Qualifications:

1. Minimum experience of 3 years as a registered staff nurse
2. Excellent knowledge of emergency care
3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
4. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Responsible and compassionate
6. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
7. Valid nursing license
