Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at Podar Education Network in Samastipur. This is a full-time role suited for a mid-level professional with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate will support the finance department with various accounting duties, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within our educational framework.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant, preferably within an educational institution (Mandatory skill).
Experience as an Accountant or School Accountant (Mandatory skill).
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial terms clearly and effectively.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in preparing and analyzing financial records.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Educated to a degree level in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in daily accounting activities including invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable.
Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately.
Support the finance department in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Assist in audit and tax preparation work, ensuring timely compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial health and efficient operation of the organization.
Provide relevant financial information to management as required.
