Accountant Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and income statements.
2. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling bank statements, preparing journal entries, and conducting financial analysis.
3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
4. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for management, shareholders, and regulatory agencies.
6. Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
7. Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.
8. Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
9. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and budget monitoring.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not required.
3. Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
5. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
