Project Overview:
CMD, an autonomous institution under the government of Kerala is undertaking two critical projects on behalf of the Social Justice Department, Kerala.
1. Revision of State Disability Policy for Persons with Disabilities & Preparing Roadmap for Implementing the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.
2. Revision of State Senior Citizen Policy for Senior Citizens & Preparing State Action Plan for the Aged.
As a Public Policy Research Intern at the Center for Management Development in Kerala, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and make a real impact on policy development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contributing to literature reviews, data analysis, and systematic reviews on the rights, needs, and policy frameworks of senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to gather insights and perspectives.
3. Assisting in drafting reports, policy briefs, and recommendations based on research findings.
4. Participating in meetings, workshops, and consultations to contribute expertise and facilitate dialogue.

Other requirements
1. Candidates pursuing postgraduation or have recently graduated from a public policy, development studies, disability studies, or public health academic program.
2. The ability to speak Malayalam is preferred but not required.

Additional information
Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 8000 per performance based).
