About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Website development and maintenance:
a. Assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
b. Implement themes, plugins, and necessary features based on client requirements.
c. Test websites for performance, mobile responsiveness, and functionality.

2. Content management:
a. Update and manage website content (text, images, videos, etc.) through the WordPress dashboard.
b. Ensure content is SEO-friendly and optimized for speed.

3. Bug fixing and troubleshooting:
a. Identify and fix bugs or issues related to the front-end and back-end of WordPress websites.
b. Assist in resolving compatibility issues with plugins, themes, or WordPress updates.

4. Theme and plugin customization:
a. Modify existing themes and plugins to meet specific client needs.
b. Assist in creating custom themes or features under the guidance of senior developers.

5. Collaboration with team:
a. Work closely with designers, project managers, and senior developers to implement features and improve website functionality.
b. Participate in team meetings and collaborate on project updates or feedback.

6. Learning and skill development:
a. Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.
b. Continuously improve coding skills and WordPress knowledge through hands-on practice and feedback from mentors.

7. Code review and documentation:
a. Participate in code reviews and ensure proper documentation of development processes.
b. Follow coding standards and ensure quality and efficiency in all tasks.

1. Experience with WordPress Themes and Plugins.

2. Prior experience working with popular WordPress themes (like Divi, Elementor, or Genesis) and plugins (Yoast SEO, WooCommerce, etc.) is a plus.

3. Basic understanding of PHP for back-end development and MySQL for database management.

4. Understanding of SEO best practices.

5. Knowledge of on-page SEO techniques and tools for improving website rankings.

Version Control (Git/GitHub).

6. Familiarity with Git for version control and experience using platforms like GitHub for team collaboration.

7. Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, or design.

8. Responsive design experience.

9. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and updates to team members and clients.

10. Attention to detail.

11. High attention to detail to ensure websites are well-coded, visually appealing, and error-free.

12. Willingness to learn and grow.

13. A proactive attitude toward learning new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance WordPress development skills.

14. Basic knowledge of Web Hosting and FTP.

15. Familiarity with web hosting environments, cPanel, FTP/SFTP, and how to deploy WordPress websites.

16. Portfolio or GitHub projects.

17. A portfolio of personal or school projects showcasing WordPress development or contributions to open-source projects will be highly regarded.
