As a research intern at First Contact, you will support our LGBTQ+ Night, Finance Night, and other related activities by providing detailed, accurate, and insightful research. Your role will involve gathering information on relevant topics, identifying trends, and assisting in the creation of content and programming that resonates with our community. This position is ideal for someone passionate about LGBTQ+ issues, finance, and creating social impact from their research.
1. Conducting thorough research on topics relevant to LGBTQ+ issues, financial education, and community needs and issues
2. Assisting in the planning and execution of LGBTQ+ Night, Finance Night, and other events by providing research-backed insights and recommendations
3. Compiling reports, summaries, and data analyses to support event content and discussions, and producing post-event outcomes in the form of blogs and podcasts
4. Collaborating with the content and program teams to develop educational materials and resources for the community
5. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in LGBTQ+ rights, financial literacy, and related areas to inform event planning
6. Supporting the team with any additional research needs that may arise
