Operations (Purchase) Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing relationships with reliable vendors
2.Vendor Management: Overseeing relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements, and resolving any issues that may arise
3. Cost Management: Analyzing pricing proposals, negotiating favorable terms and pricing with suppliers, and seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
4. Inventory Management: Collaborating with inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory while avoiding stockouts
5. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that purchased products or materials meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements
6. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, such as supplier reliability, geopolitical issues, or market fluctuations, and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks
7. Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, pricing, delivery schedules, and performance metrics
8. Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing procurement budgets, forecasting future purchasing needs, and monitoring expenditures to ensure they align with financial objectives
9. Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring that procurement processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including ethical sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives
10. Process Improvement: Evaluating and optimizing procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
