About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

(a) Import-export operations:
1. Coordinating and managing the import-export process, including documentation, customs clearance, shipping, and logistics.
2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for international trade.
3. Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
4. Collaborating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers to optimize the transportation and distribution process.

(b) Sales and marketing:
1. Developing and implementing strategies to promote import-export services and expand the customer base.
2. Identifying potential clients and markets for import-export opportunities.
3. Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service.
4. Preparing and presenting proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients.
5. Attending trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to generate leads and increase brand awareness.

Other requirements

1. Bachelors degree in business administration, international trade, marketing, or related field.

2. Proven experience in import-export operations, sales, or marketing, with preference given to candidates who have directly participated in import-export transactions or demonstrated success in core sales and marketing roles.

3. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping logistics.

4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.

6. Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with import-export software is a plus.

o Fluency in additional languages is desirable but not required.

Additional information

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 3000 per leads generated).
