As a 'Senior Backend Engineer', you will play a pivotal role across our product ecosystem from the investment platform to the trading system and client-facing web applications. You will contribute to backend development, implementation, monitoring, and scaling while driving significant business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System development & implementation
- Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems to power business operations.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to optimize performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with the Product team to gather requirements, write test cases, and ensure timely implementation.
2. Mentorship & advocacy
- Mentor team members on best engineering practices.
- Champion the adoption of modern tools and technologies to improve workflows.
3. Operational excellence
- Maintain system reliability through robust design and proactive issue resolution.
- Contribute to operational standards and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Experience: 3+ years in software development beyond education and internships.
2. Programming Languages: Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript.
3. API Development: Expertise in defining and writing REST APIs (e.g., Loopback).
4. Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with caching, rate limiting, authentication, and WebSocket technologies (socketcluster.io).
5. Event & Notification Tools: Familiarity with SNS/SQS, Firebase.
6. Database Management: Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
7. Containerization: Proficiency with Docker.
8. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques.
9. Soft Skills: Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
10. Experience with financial systems, TypeScript, Golang, and Postgres.
11. Familiarity with caching tools like Redis, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and workflow systems (Airflow).
