About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Maintain consistent contact and provide sales and service to all retailers and distributors in the assigned region
2. Plan, direct, and implement sales strategies and programs to achieve or exceed sales objectives for the company
3. Ensure optimum utilization of resources in the area of responsibility, particularly the sales/promotional budget
4. Assist the ASM with promotional ideas to increase business within the region
5. Achieve sales revenue numbers, budget, and profit goals for the assigned region
6. Assist in managing monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets and objectives within the region
7. Understand and utilize syndicated data to identify sales opportunities and develop sales presentations for the assigned region
8. Provide feedback to management from key retail and distributor customers
9. Make regularly scheduled sales calls on all major customers within the region
10. Regularly communicate sales calls and results to the ASM
11. Provide monthly sales reports, monthly expense reports, and any assigned reports to the Area Sales Manager promptly
12. Maintain regular contact with retailers and distributors to ensure seamless continuity of efforts
13. Execute the sales volume numbers, trade spending objectives, and any other goals given by the ASM. Specifically, interact with marketing for Sales Support materials, etc.
14. Identify and track all industry trends and issues, including natural and retail growth, distributor changes, opportunities, segment variations, etc.
15. Recommend an expedient/appropriate action plan to the Area Sales Manager
16. Implement all tracking/reporting tools in conjunction with Finance, Customer service, etc.
17. Assist in managing the regional budget by SKU and trade spending for all brands
18. Track and report all competitive activities
