Vystrit is envisioned as a collective to create unique, meaningful art. The focus is on using mixed media to create truly new fusion art. Launched in October 2023, Vystrit is based in Bangalore, India.
We have used mixed media to create art pieces: teak wood frames in various shapes and natural cane webbing as the canvas that is adorned by various textiles and threads. Every art piece has been conceived and designed by our Chief Artist, Saumya Kashyap. We have painstakingly iterated each concept to a final design, obsessing over every detail. It is not just the artwork you see on cane canvas but also the choice of frame, that of cane webbing and its style, along with all the minor details, that are part of the creation.
Hours and hours go into producing each artwork by hand. Frames, cane, and other parts of the art are handcrafted by local artisans.
