About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
2. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and reviewing financial transactions
3. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
4. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide insights into the company's financial performance
5. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections
6. Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process, ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth
8. Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and recommend changes to accounting policies and procedures as needed

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
2. Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
3. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
4. Experience with accounting software systems, preferably Tally, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
8. Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
