About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Identify, target, and acquire potential clients from industries like lifestyle, fashion, beauty, events, startups, and SMEs
2. Develop and implement a pipeline of potential clients (B2B & B2C) for PR retainers, event launches, and branding campaigns
3. Close deals for clients in specific verticals like schools, jewelry brands, beauty pageant winners, and CEOs
4. Pitch and present Spunky Media's packages (like TEDx talks, Forbes placements, and brand collaborations) to potential clients
5. Convert one-time project clients into retainer clients
6. Build and implement a business development strategy to increase client acquisition for PR retainers and large-scale event projects
7. Develop partnerships with marketing agencies, branding agencies, and event organizers to drive referral business
8. Identify growth opportunities for Spunky Media (new markets, niches, or untapped sectors) and create sales strategies to target them
9. Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, and email outreach to generate high-quality leads
10. Manage a CRM or sales funnel, track leads, and follow up consistently to maximize conversions
11. Source leads for high-value individuals (CEOs, founders, etc.) for personal branding and PR retainer deals
12. Hand over closed clients to the PR Execution Team for delivery of services
13. Support in building client relationships, ensuring smooth onboarding, and maintaining ongoing communication for feedback and upselling

Requirements:

1. Minimum 4+ years in a similar role (PR, media, marketing, or related industry)
2. Sales-Driven Mindset: Ability to close deals and convert leads into long-term retainer clients
3. Excellent Communication & Pitching Skills: Ability to confidently pitch Spunky Media's packages to C-suite clients, founders, and small business owner
4. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of PR industry services, including media placements, award nominations, TEDx placements, and event PR
5. Relationship Management: Ability to nurture strong relationships with clients, agency partners, and event organizers
6. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-driven, proactive, and able to create opportunities.
7. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using platforms like LinkedIn, Google Sheets, etc.
