We are looking to hire a specialist to join our company's operations in a 24X7 command center as a news analyst executive. The successful candidate will have quick typing skills, excellent communication skills, an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for precision. We re looking for a long-term employee who wants to grow within our business. The responsibilities also include responsibility is to make cold-call or unsolicited calls, either to get information or to handle SoS calls.
Key responsibilities:
1. Conduct research to uncover interesting and significant news
2. Gather, corroborate, and interpret data
3. Interview key persons (witnesses, sources, etc.) to obtain more information
4. Use findings to construct a well-written article and report
5. Retain awareness of the readers point of view
6. Obtain first-hand information by being present in happenings
7. Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
8. Comply with the moral code of the profession
9. Partner with other journalists, editors, producers, etc.
10. Establish contacts and sources for use in future research
11. Keep abreast of developments by studying papers, attending events, etc.
Requirements & skills:
1. Ability to follow strict deadlines and fast-check information
2. Current knowledge of headlines
3. Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)
4. Excellent communication and networking skills along with an aptitude for extracting information
5. Good observation and deduction skills
6. Integrity and morality
