Junior Software Tester Job

Position: Manual Tester with SQL Server

Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Manual Tester with at least 1 year of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, along with a solid understanding of SQL Server to validate database-driven applications. The role requires a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers and business analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform functional and regression testing for web and desktop applications.
Create and execute test cases, identify defects, and track the progress of testing cycles.
Write and execute SQL queries to validate database integrity and ensure that the applications work as expected.
Review requirements, user stories, and design documents to create test plans and ensure test coverage.
Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand project requirements and deliver quality results.
Perform bug verification, issue tracking, and work with the development team to resolve any issues.
Report and document test results, and provide regular updates on testing progress.
Ensure that all features of the product are thoroughly tested and meet the client's requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in manual testing.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, with the ability to write complex queries to validate data.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
Basic knowledge of automation testing is a plus (but not required).
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
