About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Write all customer-facing copy and some internal copy, ranging from product descriptions to well-researched blog posts
2. Craft persuasive product descriptions that accentuate key features and benefits, fostering sales and conversions
3. Write high-quality, SEO-enabled blogs/Footer content to attract organic traffic, positioning the brand as a thought leader in the fashion industry
4. Research and implement keywords into your content to boost our SEO across marketplaces and website
5. Create informative and captivating website footer content that reinforces brand identity and delivers valuable information to visitors
6. Write compelling copy that helps to sell our products and build brand awareness
7. Write and format copy in alignment with our content management system (CMS)
8. Edit and proofread your copy to ensure there are no errors
9. Submit copy and then make changes as directed by editors and other team members
10. Work alongside the design team to create visuals to enhance your copy if needed
11. Help come up with new content ideas to improve and demonstrate strong research and analytical skills
12. Ensure your copy aligns with other editorial and brand style guidelines
13. Optimize existing copy on a brand's website (page titles, Meta descriptions, h1s, alt, anchor text, etc.)
14. Stay updated on fashion trends and industry news and research products and industry topics
15. Conduct keyword research to identify the right keywords and phrases to use in your copy and analyze search results to understand how your content is ranking and identify areas for improvement
16. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
17. Work independently and collaboratively within a team

Other requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, English, literature, or journalism. Alternatively, you can still apply if you have 3+ years of copywriting experience

2. Proven copywriting experience (Freelance, in-house, or agency)

3. A portfolio of published content/copy (Ideally across different industries and content types)

4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google Docs

5. Excellent written communication skills (Show us in the cover letter!)

6. Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress (Desired)

7. Some knowledge of fashion and fashion terminologies

8. 3-4 years of experience in copywriting or content marketing

9. Proven track record of developing engaging and effective content across various platforms

10. The ability to multi-task

11. A track record of meeting deadlines and working under strict timelines

12. Good interpersonal and communication skills

13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Salary

Annual CTC: ₹ 4,00,000 - 6,50,000 /year
