About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Translate video script content from English/Marathi to Hindi with precision and cultural sensitivity
2. Review and modify machine translation while maintaining the original sentence length
3. Conduct thorough research for unfamiliar terminology or industry-specific jargon
4. Ensure translations are contextually relevant and culturally appropriate
5. Coordinate with editors for sentence length issues
6. Modify translated text to match machine voice recording length, supporting editors to achieve the desired audio output length

Other requirements

1. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is essential

2. Ability to accurately translate written and spoken content between English, Hindi, and Marathi

3. Familiarity with the cultural nuances of both source languages (English and Marathi) and the target language (Hindi)

4. Knowledge of regional variations and colloquialisms in Marathi and Hindi

5. Proficiency in translation tools and software

6. Familiarity with word processing software for creating and editing documents

7. Work closely with other team members, editors, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate translations

8. Be open to feedback and continuous improvement

9. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality translations

10. Regularly review and update translation glossaries and style guides

11. Bachelors degree in Hindi or any other bachelor’s degree with language proficiency certification

12. Experience: 0-2 years
