A young and qualified accountant is required, for a startup dealing in electronics and educational resources, to maintain and record all financial transactions involving the Company, handle bookkeeping, managing billing and payments related to domestic transactions/import/export, analyzing financial performance of the company, preparing financial reports and handling all other related tasks.
Key responsibilities:
1. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Documents financial transactions by entering account information including invoicing, credit management, accounts clearing and collection.
3. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
4. Assists in managing inventory, logistics including international and domestic shipments. Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
5. Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
6. Documents and completes monthly taxation (GST etc.) requirements.
7. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
8. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
9. Complies with national, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
10. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
11. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
12. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
13. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Who can apply:
1. Has in-depth knowledge of all accounting procedures, GAAP, financial terminology and other related concepts.
2. Has experience of using ZOHO Books or similar accounting software.
3. In-depth knowledge of taxation norms related to GST, imports, exports, etc.
4. Experience with inventory management and supply chain is plus.
5. Accounting experience with start-ups or giants preferred.
6. Graduate/Diploma or any other equivalent qualification preferable related to accounting, commerce, etc.
