About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Development:
- Develop high-quality content, including digital resources, and supplementary materials.
- Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with educational standards. Ensure grammatical accuracy, logical flow, and continuity of content.
- Check if the writing language is simple, clear and accurate.
- Create engaging and interactive content that enhances the learning experience, including textbooks, workbooks, supplemental materials, and digital resources, incorporating pedagogical best practices.
- Check for consistency in tone, style, and formatting throughout book chapters and sections.
- Craft engaging press releases to effectively communicate key messages.

2. Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on current trends, curriculum standards, pedagogical methods and best practices in education and publishing, integrating new methodologies and technologies into content development strategies.
- Analyse competitor content and market needs to identify gaps and opportunities for new content development.
- Conduct fact-checking and research when necessary to ensure content accuracy.

3. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional designers to develop content that meets educational objectives.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and other team members to ensure cohesive and visually appealing content.

4. Quality Assurance and Review:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure content is error-free, accurate, and meets the company's standards.
- Review and revise content based on feedback from educators, students, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all content is culturally sensitive and inclusive, catering to diverse student populations.

5. Project Management:
- Manage content development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.

6. Content Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the development and execution of content strategies that align with the company's goals and target audience needs.
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content.
- Identify and implement best practices for content creation, distribution, and promotion.

7. Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to other team members on content creation best practices and tools.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for educators on how to effectively use the published content.
- Offer ongoing support and guidance to ensure the successful implementation of educational materials.

8. Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
- Gather feedback from users, educators, and other stakeholders to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve content clarity and structure.
- Analyse user engagement metrics and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Stay open to constructive criticism and use it to enhance future content development efforts.

7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
