DevOps Engineer Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Design and implement secure automation solutions for development/testing/production
2. Manage and improve our continuous integration and delivery pipeline and secure standardization
3. Develop/Maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery for security/performance monitoring and automate analysis reporting solution
4. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance, develop script to automate visualization and increase the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanism
5. Ensure that systems are safe/secure against cybersecurity threat and keep up on new security vulnerability
6. Install/Tune/Upgrade service/support application and DBMS as per required scale
7. Work with software engineers on ensuring development follows established process and works as intended, plan out projects and be involved in project decision
8. Work on real-time problems in a time-framed scenario within Agile Framework
9. Integrate different third-party support services with proper security as per business requirement

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in always-up service
2. DevOp experience in a Linux environment, understanding of system administration and performance tuning for the same
3. Experience with either GCP or AWS, and TCP/IP, HTTP & HTTPS with strong hands-on experience of DNS, R53, TCPDUMP, CDNS, SSL, Git, Firewalls and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, VPNs, etc)
4. Experience deploying microservice architecture, applications and supporting services (Docker, Kubernetes) in auto-scale, performance & cost-optimized manner
5. Strong experience with managed/self-hosted CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Travis etc.)
6. Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Make (Javascript, Python)
7. Hands-on experience with setup of Content (data) storing, caching and access solutions such as AWS (S3, Cloudfront) or GCP (GCS)
8. Familiar with software security best practice, understanding of encryption ciphers and key/secret management and knowledge of configuration management
9. Understanding of disaster recovery/database backup procedure
10. Experience building platform for monitoring.alerting (GCP monitoring,
Nagios, Pagerduty, CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, etc)
11. Full understanding of technical documentation (Confluence) and code maintenance (GIT - Bitbucket) and process-oriented with documentation skills and self-task (JIRA)
