Terre des Hommes - Netherlands (TdH-NL) works against child exploitation, removes children from exploitative situations, and ensures these children can develop themselves in a safe environment. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child forms the cornerstone of its work, focusing on the most serious violations of the rights of the child: the worst forms of child labor, child trafficking, (commercial) sexual exploitation of children, and child abuse as well violations of sexual and reproductive health and rights (including harmful traditional practices such as child marriage and FGM).
TdH-NL also offers humanitarian aid worldwide, focusing on children and their immediate protection needs in emergencies. TdH-NL has been operational in India since 1983. We implement projects with support from NGO partners with grassroots-level expertise. Presently, we work with 28 partners across 6 different states and reach out to around 35,000 children in need of care and protection.
