Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze and estimate the costs of engineering projects and products and work closely with cross-functional teams to gather cost data, create models, and provide accurate estimates.
Getting RFQs from customers and converting them into business /PO.
Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design concepts.
Participate in the process of tender/BQ for costing and submission of the same.
Study RFI/RFP documents. Bid coordination may include preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; selecting mate
Utilize cost methodologies, tools, and appropriate software models and provide expert knowledge in cost analysis, manufacturing processes, material/supplier comparison, etc.
Work proactively towards cost target objectives and sourcing strategy in collaboration with Strategic Buyers, Category Managers, NPI Teams, and R&D.
Take end-to-end responsibility for the full-scope interaction with all internal and external stakeholders as required for the prototype.
Listening to customers needs and advising them on the best products to buy.
Monitor order intake & budgeted forecast.
Assist customers with technical & commercial queries.
Support presales activities, proposal generation, product position, solution offering, respondand ing to technical clarifications in tender.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Application Engineer Qualifications

A Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent).
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in new product development.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
Proven experience in cost estimation and cost analysis
Strong analytical skills.
