The inventory & procurement manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and other essential supplies. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and analytical individual with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key responsibilities:
1. Procurement:
Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality raw materials (e.g., flour, sugar, butter, chocolate, fruits, nuts), packaging materials (e.g., boxes, bags, ribbons), and other essential supplies.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with vendors.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, explore alternative sources, and leverage competitive pricing.
2. Inventory Management:
Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, from receiving and storing goods to issuing them for production.
Implement and maintain accurate inventory records using a suitable inventory management system (e.g., ERP, spreadsheets).
Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Analyze inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels to minimize holding costs and prevent stockouts.
Establish and implement inventory control procedures, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and quality control checks.
3. Logistics and Distribution:
Coordinate with logistics providers for timely and efficient delivery of goods to the production facility.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrival and minimize transportation costs.
4. Cost Control:
Monitor and analyze procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate better deals with suppliers.
Track and analyze inventory holding costs and implement strategies to minimize them.
5. Order Fulfillment & Delivery Partner Coordination:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery, ensuring efficient order processing and fulfillment.
Coordinate with Swiggy/Zomato delivery partners, resolving any issues related to order pickups, deliveries, and customer complaints.
Monitor delivery performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Other requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in inventory management and procurement, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
