3d Modelling Texturing Artist (Blender) Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Work on modeling and texturing assets and characters based on concepts art, actual reference images, and project specifications
2. Create fantastic 3D assets that will work across various platforms and technical limitations
3. Follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions, and other technical constraints
4. Prototype and iterate on models and characters based on feedback from team members
5. Create textures and UV maps
6. Optimize, refine, and correct model geometry
7. Rig models and characters for animation
8. Work with artists and team leads to execute projects on time
9. Candidates with experience in industrial animation and commercial product animations will be preferred

Requirements/Skills:

1. Software Knowledge: Blender (MUST)
2. Should have a sound understanding of all aspects of the 3d production pipeline
3. Should have prior experience in rigging and animation
4. Should have experience in rendering animations with Cycles renderer in Blender
5. Highly competent in UV unwrapping and achieving appropriate texel density
6. Competent in high-res to low-res baking (this includes all relevant maps, not just normals)
7. An eye for detail
8. Able to work with minimal concepts to complete assets
9. Submit a portfolio (include a link to your reel and samples) that reflects a good balance of hard surface and organic modeling/sculpting with good knowledge
