About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop prototypes for new products and components
2. Utilize additive manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, to rapidly iterate and refine designs, optimizing for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
3. Design and fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software and fabrication techniques
4. Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support prototype fabrication and manufacturing processes
5. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to transition prototypes to production, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with design specifications
Requirements:
1. A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
2. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Fusion 360) for 3D modeling and design
3. Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing technologies, such as FDM, SLA, SLS, or DMLS
4. Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, rolling, bending, welding, and finishing
5. Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to iterate rapidly and adapt to evolving project requirements
7. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Note: Additive manufacturing and sheet metal skills are very important.

Other requirements
1. Experience with other advanced manufacturing technologies, such as CNC machining, injection molding, or other plastic manufacturing techniques
2. Experience in conducting static analysis simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to assess the structural integrity, durability, and performance of mechanical systems and components
3. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for mechanical products and components

Additional information
Job offer: On successful conversion to a permanent employee, the candidate can expect a salary of Rs. 300000 to 400000 /year
Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 5000 per manufacturing product tasks).
