We are seeking computer science engineering students in their 2nd or 3rd year for an internship position as Content Engineering Interns. In this role, you will be responsible for writing code that generates dynamic math problems, covering topics like algebra and geometry and formatted using LaTeX. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your programming and math skills in a real-world setting, contributing to developing an innovative educational platform.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Develop code to dynamically generate math problems across various middle and high school math topics.
2. Use object-oriented programming principles to structure and manage problem generation.
3. Format complex mathematical expressions using LaTeX for high-quality problem presentation.
4. Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and optimize engaging math content.
5. Test and debug code to ensure the accuracy and functionality of the generated problems.
6. Contribute to the overall user experience by integrating interactive features using HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
7. Participate in code reviews and team brainstorming sessions.
Requirements:
1. Currently pursuing a 2nd or 3rd-year degree in computer science engineering (or a related field).
2. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
3. Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
4. Experience with LaTeX for formatting math problems and solutions.
5. Good understanding of math at the middle and high school level (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, etc.).
6. Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
7. Familiarity with version control systems like Git is a plus.
