About Kanakam Foundation
In 2016, Raju Kanakam and Manikanta Oolla, the founders of the Kanakam Foundation, noticed challenges in their community related to poverty, hunger, and debt. Determined to make a difference, they established the foundation with a mission to break the cycle of poverty, provide food, and create better opportunities.
With hard work, they built the foundation from the ground up, assembling a team of eight board members from various states. Their first initiative, a community kitchen, offered free, nutritious meals. Over time, the foundation expanded to provide educational support, job training, and assistance to farmers. Today, Kanakam Foundation continues to grow, driven by the founders' vision of creating a stronger and more supportive community.
