Entire North India and parts of South Asian countries with heavy reliance on rice as a crop, burn the crop stubble after harvest, creating immense pollution, visible from satellites and plunging the lives of millions of people into a situation like a gas chamber. Air pollution in Delhi, during the burning season, reaches beyond measurable limits of AQI i.e. 999+. Our flag-off project 'Dharaksha' aims to rely on sustainable bio-remedies to develop a scalable business model to consume waste paddy straws and generate value in the whole process. Thereby, we are enabling a pull factor to counter the problem of air pollution.

One of the most scalable options is to grow oyster mushrooms at a scale on these rice stubble, which is highly nutritious (very high protein, vegan); thereby increasing the revenue of people at the bottom of the pyramid and incentivizing for not burning stubble in the process.
