About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Recruitment and Hiring
Develop job descriptions and post job listings.
Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate selection processes.
Manage onboarding and ensure new hires are integrated effectively.
2. Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and complaints.
Foster a positive work environment and mediate conflicts.
Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions as necessary.
3. Performance Management
Implement and monitor performance evaluation systems.
Work with managers to set goals, review performance, and provide feedback.
Identify areas for improvement and support employee development.
4. Training and Development
Plan and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other development opportunities.
Identify skill gaps and design training programs to address them.
Support career development planning for employees.
5. Compensation and Benefits
Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compensation strategies.
Conduct salary benchmarking and maintain equitable pay structures.
Communicate benefits packages and resolve related employee questions.
6. Compliance and Legal Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Maintain HR policies that align with legal requirements and company goals.
Handle documentation related to employment, terminations, and legal matters.
7. Workplace Health and Safety
Promote safe working practices and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement wellness programs and maintain records of health and safety incidents.
Ensure that health and safety training is provided as needed.
8. Employee Engagement and Retention
Design programs to increase employee satisfaction and engagement.
Conduct surveys, exit interviews, and other methods to gather feedback.
Develop initiatives to improve retention and reduce turnover.
9. HR Data Management and Reporting
Maintain and manage employee records and HR systems.
Analyze HR data to support strategic decisions.
Generate reports on HR metrics like turnover, headcount, and performance.
10. Strategic Planning and Organizational Development
Align HR strategies with business goals to support growth.
Plan for workforce needs through succession planning and talent management.
Support organizational restructuring or change management efforts.
