Finance & Accounting Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, and fixed asset activity.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports, Management Information Systems (MIS), or statements.
3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Improve systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions.
6. Meet financial accounting objectives.
7. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) degree or equivalent is required.
2. At least 2 years of experience is required.
3. Advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software (Tally).
4. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Decent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information.
8. Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
9. Strong mental agility and problem-solving skills.
