About the internship

The 'Business Development Intern' will report to the 'Business Development Manager', helping with lead initiatives to identify, engage, and build relationships with potential business partners. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, with excellent communication skills and the ability to drive business growth. They will be responsible for exploring new business opportunities, maintaining current relationships, and developing strategies that align with the company's long-term vision.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist in building, nurturing, and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients by providing regular follow-up and maintaining contact.
2. Support in developing proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
3. Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential clients or partners through cold emails, calls, and social media.
4. Support in managing lead generation tools and platforms to build a consistent sales pipeline.
5. Assist in identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities to foster growth for the agency.

Additional information

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (5% of revenue generated).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
2. Previous internship experience in business development or sales, preferably in a marketing agency or startup environment.
3. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
4. Familiarity with digital marketing, branding, and advertising is a plus.
5. Women wanting to start/restart their career in business development are preferred. Prior business development internship experience is a plus.
