About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assesses student interest, aptitudes, and abilities in order to assist in academic and career planning
2. Counsel students in developing a specific academic program including choice of major and course selections
3. Plan and implement programs to help students with academic and career decisions - some examples are student workshops, departmental information sessions, or major fairs
4. Refer students for various evaluative tests, evaluate the results of the placement test, and recommend an appropriate program based on test results
5. Perform related duties as required
