3D Animation Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Direct a model wearing a motion capture suit to record mocap data
2. Clean & refine motion capture data recorded from the motion capture suit
3. Work on further animation of a 3D character(mostly a realistic female character) which is not possible with mocap suit
4. Work on facial expression animation
5. Work on integrating voice and syncing dialogue
6. Work on lighting and rendering

Skills Required:

1. Ability to visualize 3D iterations of two-dimensional storyboards and artwork
2. Proven ability to animate characters in Maya, 3Ds Max
3. A good instinct for timing, movement, and editing cuts
4. Experience working with 3D models and rigs (provided by 3d Modelers), respectively)
5. Understanding of acting techniques, cinematography, and visual storytelling
6. Understanding of anatomy, how limbs move, the effect of weight, and the behavior of skin and flesh
7. Knowledge of film and animation genres, and ability to work within these styles
8. Advanced concept of visual language - perspective, point of view, proportion, color, composition, framing, etc.
9. Working knowledge of the laws of physics - gravity, acceleration, and the laws of energy
10. Able to work in Unreal Engine
